The Christchurch Advertiser describes Ancestors of Reeks and Rogers as the culmination of  "more than 30 years of research on both sides of the Atlantic,..(including) nine visits to Christchurch."

Construction of the Priory originally began about 1094. In early times, the town was called Twynham , as this is where the two rivers, the Avon and the Stour, met. It is believed that the town was called "Christchurch", beginning sometime in the 15th century.
